DOMAINE HUGUENOT
Tours and tastings are available by appointment. The village of Fixin, where the domaine is located, is a charming little village in the Côte de Nuits, between Marsannay-La-Côte and Gevrey-Chambertin. The Fixin appellation has been recognized as an AOC since 1936, and is divided into Villages and Premiers Crus. The vineyard comprises just 102 hectares in production, including 96 hectares for red wines (Pinot Noir grape variety) and just 6 hectares for white wines (Chardonnay). Six climats are classified as Premier Cru, including Arvelets, Clos de la Perrière, Clos du Chapitre, Clos Napoléon, Hervelets and Le Meix Bas. The soils are brown limestone and fairly homogeneous in the Premier Crus, with more marly nuances in some places. Domaine Huguenot offers a unique experience for discovering the wines of the Fixin appellation.
