KORKOR LODGE
Ecolodge made from natural materials, with separate bungalows for greater privacy, featuring private terraces, luxury bathrooms, etc
This ecolodge opened its doors in October 2015. It is built from natural materials, in particular local stone, in the style of the region's Tigrayan villages. It's truly a little jewel in the midst of such arid nature and a region too little visited by tourists for the riches it hides. The bungalows, separated for greater privacy, are equipped with large bay windows and even showers, and face the spires of the Gueralta mountains. A grandiose, life-size spectacle enhanced by cactus and trees in the foreground. Each individual cottage has a 35m2 living room/bedroom, luxurious bathroom and private terrace. We're not used to this level of comfort around here. The food is just as spectacular. For Luigi Cantamessa welcomes his guests into his home around the table, seeking to offer the very best with local ingredients; a real challenge. Meals provide an opportunity to chat with other guests. This Italian in love with Ethiopia is the author of the Olizane book on Ethiopia, rich in detailed information, particularly on the churches of Tigray.
