Château dating from 1726, welcomes every year visitors and professionals of the wine world as well as certified consultants
Every year, visitors and professionals from over 90 countries around the world come to visit Château de Pommard. Here, they explore the world of wine with advisors certified by the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET), and taste the finest expressions of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as they pass through the villages that shape the Route des Grands Crus. From vine to glass, the curious and the oenophile discover the Clos Marey-Monge, a geological curiosity rich in clay and limestone, which unites seven distinct parcels within one of the Climats de Bourgogne recognized as a Unesco World Heritage Site. Founded in 1726, Château de Pommard combines 300 years of expertise with the innovative vision of the Carabello-Baum family. Today, critics and oenophiles hail Clos Marey-Monge's conversion to biodynamic viticulture. More energetic, more open and vibrant, the resulting cuvées reveal the purest expression of their terroir while respecting the environment. A range of tastings from €20 to €41 depending on the formula: Clos Marey-Monge tasting, Burgundy Discovery or Tailor-made Tasting, experiences to be booked and enjoyed in French and English. The €5 Youth Experience allows children aged 5 to 12 to enjoy a playful experience that traces the journey of a bunch of grapes, and taste 4 fruit syrups produced by Ferme Fruirouge. Adults, meanwhile, can better understand the vintage effect on the emblematic Clos Marey-Monge Monopole blend.
