QUETIGNY - VILLE DE COMMERCES ET DE LOISIRS

In Quetigny, the quality of living follows the quality of life encouraged by the municipality. As early as the 1960s, the town was designed with the future in mind. Today, the town promotes an art of living that it reconciles with the modernity of soft paths and adapted housing. Quetigny has the dual advantage of a rich commercial offering combined with a highly varied range of cultural and sporting leisure activities. Whether it's the Grand Marché, created in 1979, or the Cap Vert leisure area, over 300 shops, businesses, craftsmen and service activities are located in the commune, representing almost 6,000 jobs.

The vast Grand Marchéshopping zone boasts a wide variety of shops, including kitchen specialists, furniture stores, childcare facilities, a food superstore and the Grand Quetigny shopping mall. This highly attractive shopping area continues to expand with the regular arrival of new businesses.

Cap Vert leisure center. Located at the entrance to the town, easily accessible from the tramway, this leisure area complements the cultural offering of the Ciné Cap Vert cinema complex. It includes four restaurants, a fitness center, a laser game bowling alley and an 80-room 2-star hotel.

The town also boasts a number of performancevenues offering year-round cultural programming: Mendès-France (600 seats), Méliès (250), the Petit Théâtre des Prairies (80) and a family and seminar venue, La Colline (200). Around twenty shows and events are offered by the town council throughout the year.

Olympic-size swimming pool and golf course. The town is home to two nearby agglomeration sports facilities: the Olympic swimming pool, on the border between Dijon and Quetigny, served by a streetcar stop, and the Blue Green Quetigny golf course.

Soon to be upgraded. As part of its ongoing transformation, Quetigny is considering the renovation of its sports facilities, particularly in view of the need to make the buildings more resilient.

The central square, revitalized by the works in the heart of the town and the arrival of a catering offer, should also once again host a weekly market.

Various schemes. The PasseSports-Loisirs card, the Bourse Sport & Culture, and the Carte Culture Étudiant provide residents with access to leisure activities.
