Restaurant with a French bistro atmosphere offering quality dishes in Semur-en-Auxois.
In the heart of the historic centre, it is a restaurant that cannot be missed when you walk past the facade, which displays menus, formulas and suggestions in large format. As inside, moreover, with the slates on the wall that announce an important choice to visitors. The atmosphere is that of a good French bistro and we are happy to meet regular customers, people from Semur-en-Auxois and the surrounding area. Our attention is focused on the "Berthaut" menu, everything is cooked around the times, including for example the salad, the tartiflette or the ravioli fondant at the time. On the gourmet menu, 5 traditional Burgundy dishes follow one another. The dishes offered are of high quality, the plates are very generous and the prices very attractive. For example, you can enjoy a choice of entrecôtes, andouillettes or hams served in different shapes and flavours. A traditional cuisine, simple but delicious, to be served with one of the many wines on offer. A beautiful address!

I had the beef bourguignon and my fiance had steak. Out of the two the bourguignon was the better choice, but both were awful. The steak and oyster mushrooms tasted SOUR, the gratin clearly came from a package and dont get me started on the reheated mushy vegetables. Atrocious. Anyone actually looking to try authentic bourgogne food, don’t let this place and some of these reviews fool you. You will be disappointed.
La nourriture était horrible. Je pensais que les Français étaient fiers de leur nourriture, ces gens ont clairement abandonné et ne s'adressent qu'aux touristes. Les habitants ne seraient pas retrouvés morts ici.
J'ai pris le bœuf bourguignon et mon fiancé avait un steak. Des deux, le bourguignon était le meilleur choix, mais les deux étaient horribles. Le steak et les pleurotes avaient un goût SOUR, le gratin provenait clairement d'un emballage et ne me lance pas dans les légumes pâteux réchauffés. Atroce. Quiconque cherche réellement à goûter à la cuisine bourguignonne authentique ne se laisse pas tromper par cet endroit et certaines de ces critiques. Vous serez déçu.
Les tortellinis aux pleurotes et le bœuf bourguignon sont un régal, sans compter la ratatouille et le gratin de pommes de terres maison.
