BIBLIOTHEQUE MUNICIPALE – FONDS PATRIMONIAL
Set in 1803 on the first floor of the Jacobines convent, the municipal library heritage fund offers the image of a th-century library with its book-covered walls to the ceiling. Made up of the proceeds made available to the nation, the property of the dissolved religious communities or those of the blind or suspected clergy, the fonds now contains collections ranging from medieval manuscripts including the famous manuscript of Moutiers-Saint-Jean to the year, passing through a few incunables, traces of production of the first time in printing, the Diderot Encyclopedia. and from Alembert to the prestigious editions of the th century, such as the Description of Egypt, the result of the Bonaparte campaign, "il Monumenti dell Egitto e della Nubia" of Ippolito Rosellini, an Italian edition, took the Franco-Tuscany literary expedition led in 1820-1829 with Jean-François Champollion.
