LA TOUR DE L’ORLE D’OR
A 4-metre-high tower dating back to 1274, housing the collections of the Société des Sciences Historiques et Naturelles de Semur.
4 meters high, 15 meters in diameter, walls 5 meters thick at the base and 2.50 meters thick at the top: this gives an idea of the dimensions of the imposing Tour de l'Orle d'Or, built in 1274. The headquarters of the Société des Sciences Historiques et Naturelles de Semur-en-Auxois, it houses its collections on 4 levels. The basement, meanwhile, overlooks a reconstructed pier used to watch over the road from Paris. A visit to the Tower offers unique panoramas from every level, including a unique view of the Auxois on the top floor.

La promenade vous conduira de nouveau vers cette imposante tour et pour les cinéphiles, sur les traces de Louis de Funès qui y a tourné sous la direction d'Yves Robert "Ni vu, ni connu"(1958).
