VILLE DE SEURRE
Located in the Saône valley where two branches of the navigable river meet, Seurre, a small town of nearly 2,500 inhabitants, is an attractive commercial centre for the surrounding villages. The municipality has a vast activity zone at its northern entrance. In the East, a revision of the local urban plan will allow the establishment of a new zone. New companies in perspective... Inside the city, a heritage discovery trail has been set up. Original and accessible signage allows visitors to stroll through the streets of the old town centre and discover the richness of the Seurre history. To do this, follow the Jacquemart! For sport enthusiasts, the city has a superb sports hall, a skatepark and a leisure centre, La Plage, labelled "Accueil de loisirs" which offers many water activities: canoeing, rowing, kayaking, water skiing, aquatic area and fishing. It should be noted that since 2017, Seurre has been labelled the most sporting municipality in the category -3000 inhabitants and that in 2018, following the development of its stepped wharf, it received the departmental trophy for landscape enhancement for the river development. Cyclists using the blue lane and Eurovélo 6, the old towpath along the Saône, can take a break there. It offers users the opportunity to observe the characteristic fauna and flora of the banks of the Saône. On their way for one night or more, they will find the camping de la Plage, labelled "Accueil vélo". Seurre is undoubtedly a city of history but also of relaxation!
