An institution in the region since Max was present at the region's fairs as early as 1839. At present, it is the sixth generation that works, with a descendant of Max: Yves Van Maldeghem. Inside this beautiful house in the centre of the town, you will find what used to be the wooden hut of the time. There are also many decorative elements of the time. The house specialties are waffles, pancakes and apple fritters. A sweet discovery is a must!

Nous y sommes allés spécialement pour déguster les gaufres réputées les meilleures de Gand et avons été très déçus. Si le lieu est superbe et le service très stylé, les gaufres sont insipides et même ont un goût un peu amer malgré le sucre. De plus, le prix est très cher, comptez de mémoire 10 ou 12 € pour une simple gaufre au sucre.

Tellement déçues de nos gaufres. Vu l'enthousiasme général (et le prix !), on pouvait s'attendre à beaucoup mieux. Si ce n'est leur taille conséquente, aucun intérêt : aucun goût, trop sèches.
