Monasterio reconvertido en hotel. Excelente relación calidad precio. Nos tocó una habitación muy espaciosa que disponía de una pequeña zona donde comer junto con nevera, hervidor de agua y microondas. También tenía una cafetera tipo Nespresso. Repetiríamos

This place sort of blew my mind. First, the city itself is cool. I arrived and couldn’t believe how nice it was. We had a room on the third floor that had some windows that were really neat and old. The interior and shower were modern and luxurious. A gem — highly recommended.

This is a great hotel. I stayed in a renovated room which was perfect for a six night stay. The hotel is so beautiful and the monastery is well cared for and restored. Very neat to stay in a place with so much history. Checking in and out was very easy and the staff was so helpful. Only a very short walk to the centre of town, and close to local transit. Would definitely recommend!

Sul sito c'è scritto che parlano Francese, inglese e spagnolo, ma in realtà parlano solo il fiammingo. Dunque incomprensibile. Ho pagato 150€ per un letto singolo e una camera puzzolente. Puzzava di zuppa di cipolle mangiato dalla suore che ha dormito in quella camera dal 1808. Le pareti non vengono tinteggiate dal 1813. Bagno in comune nelle scale, rumoroso la notte per il pavimento di legno. Non ci andrò ami più

The staff was very nice and helpful (thus I'm givign it 2 stars and not 1 star). Everything else was horrible. Rooms were smelly, bathrooms were disgusting, no fridge in the room, they forgot to put the complementary bottles of water in the room and tried to charge 8 eur / bottle when we asked for some, there was no parking and no guarantee that your spot would be still available if you left for a few hours. One of the worst hotels I've ever been in. The concept is cool and there some parts of the hotel are worth visting, but spending the night there is not a good idea.

Ambiente caratteristico ricavato da un vecchio monastero di suore, camera piccola ma con tutto l'occorrente per dormire e fare una doccia, unica pecca la moquette che non dona un senso di pulizia quotidiana, colazione molto varia dal dolce al salato, posizione vicina al centro, in 10 minuti a piedi andando molto tranquillamente si arriva in centro oppure a meno di 5 minuti si trova la fermata del tram che ti porta dove vuoi

Dimos con él de casualidad, y enamora... No nos dió tiempo a verlo todo, porque íbamos de pasada. Pero merece la pena ir. Es súper bonito, tranquilo, acogedor... Todo está limpio y el personal es muy amable. El desayuno de diez. Recomendable 100%

Le cadre est beau .Notre chambre (nous avions la 1.2) était spacieuse et propre; la literie était confortable mais dommage que les lits 1 personne rapprochés n'étaient pas fixés l'un à l'autre ; de même il n'y avait pas de sur-matelas pour faire oublier le "trou" entre les 2 matelas. La nuit fut courte car nos voisines de palier (en face chambre 1.3) ont fait un vacarme incroyable en revenant à 5h00 le dimanche matin :( . Heureusement le petit-déjeuner/lunch était très bon; le plus: la présentation en L et par catégorie qui évite d'être trop nombreux lors des choix). 2 parkings sont prévus dont 1 très petit surtout quand certains clients prennent 2 places par manque de savoir vivre. L'accueil est très agréable, pas forcément francophone pour tout le staff; nous avons échangé en anglais quand c'était nécessaire. Nous retenterons une prochaine fois en espérant avoir droit au "repos monastique" :) .

Don't bother. The building is really cool and has its Charme, but as a hotel they fail miserably.
Made us pay for breakfast we never had, quoting published policies that they could not show us on request, and not one kind word but staff (and management) being very aggressive towards me.
But the building is cool, just go and have a look, stay in one of the better places more central in Gent

ΑΠΙΣΤΕΥΤΟ ΞΕΝΟΔΟΧΕΙΟ. Η ευκαιρία να μείνετε σε ένα πρώην μοναστήρι είναι ανεπανάληπτη. Ξεπέρασε καθε προσδοκία μας. Το δωμάτιο ήταν άνετο και ήσυχο, με θεα στο κήπο. το μπάνιο ήταν εξαιρετικά καθαρό και είχε ένα τεράστιο ντους, Ολο το προσωπικό ήταν πολύ φιλικό και εξυπηρετικό. Τέλεια τοποθεσία επίσης, καθώς ήταν σε πολύ μικρή απόσταση με τα πόδια στην καρδιά της πόλης. ΤΟ ΠΡΟΤΕΙΝΩ ΑΝΕΠΙΦΥΛΑΚΤΑ!

Prachtige locatie en dichtbij de stad gelegen. Genoeg parkeerplaats, goed ontbijt en zeer fijne bedden. Echt geweldig personeel, veel dank aan hen. We komen zeker nog eens terug.

Beautiful is an understatement! If you’re looking for unique accommodation, rich in history, and located within walking distance to the old town centre, Monasterium Poortackere is your go to. The rooms were so comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and certainly plentiful! Thank for the wonderful stay during our time in Ghent, having the opportunity to stay in an old Monastery was such a fantastic experience.

Een superior kamer geboekt en betaald. Bij aankomst een standaard kamer gekregen. Bij navraag kregen we te horen dat de kamers een andere naam hebben gekregen en dat dit nu de standaard+ kamer is.. niet wat we hebben geboekt. Geld terug is onmogelijk. Echt een ongelooflijk slecht service.

Brilliant hotel. Just getting the chance to stay in a former monastery was amazing but this place exceeded expectations. The room was comfortable and quiet, the bathroom was super clean and had a massive shower, the breakfast buffet was brilliant, and all the staff very friendly and helpful. Perfect location as well, as it was only a very short walk into the heart of the city. Would love to stay here again.

Suite résa sur booking nous avons eu une chambre dans l'annexe : très sale moquette non entretenue toiles d'araignées et araignées dans la chambre et dans la salle de bain, le local "kitchenette" immonde sale et revêtement à moitié enlevé. Nous nous sommes plaints à l'accueil et la réponse fut : "pas d'autre chambre dispo, on vous offre le petit déj", et le lendemain nous avons réitéré notre mécontentement est la réponse fut : "à quoi vous attendiez vous pour 69 Euros...." cela est inadmissible, on ne fait pas de pub sur booking avec des prix attractifs si c'est pour donner une chambre dégueulasse !!! Mon mari allergique aux acariens n'a pas dormi de la nuit et moi non plus !!!
