I absolutely enjoyed my 4 days at Astoria Gent. Friendly and helpful staff. Really good breakfast. Its not an oversized buffet but good quality products and homemade jam, chocolatespread. The rooms where fine and clean. I would like to come back at anytime.

Le passage des trains devant l'hôtel ne s'entend quasiment pas depuis la chambre. Tout le reste est parfait : le charmant petit jardin, le buffet de petit déjeuner, la localisation à proximité de la gare et des musées, les possibilités de stationnement (borne de chargement disponible)... Il est aussi possible de louer un vélo ou de prendre le tramway pour se rendre en centre ville. Je reviendrai sans doute.

Small and cozy family hotel in a good location, just a few minutes from the train station. The rooms are nice and have a good standard. The service is first-class and feels familiar.

Posizione eccezionale (pochi chilometri dal centro in una zona residenziale, molto tranquilla anche se a due passi dalla stazione dei treni).
Struttura molto curata anche se in camera mia c’era la moquette (che non gradisco).
Colazione eccezionale in un ambiente familiare, confortevole e molto rilassante.
Personale gentile, simpatico e disponibile.
Parcheggio interno.
Ci ritorneremo.

De kamers zijn prima. Jammer van het zelf op te warmen aanbod aan warme maaltijden. Vrij omslachtig. Te wijten aan de beperkte keukeninfrastructuur denk ik. Ontbijt wordt wel aangeboden in de eetzaal maar kan ik niet beoordelen want niet genuttigd. Ik moest namelijk nuchter binnen zijn in UZ GENT voor heelkundige ingreep. Maar al bij al als ik eens een dagje Gent wil doen met overnachting zal ik toch terug kiezen voor dit hotel. De rust en de knusse kamers doen het gedoe voor warme maaltijden vlug vergeten. De eerlijkheid gebiedt mij te zeggen dat er op korte wandelafstand wel restaurants zijn. Over het algemeen kort en bondig AAN TE BEVELEN HOTEL

We have been staying for a number of years when we visit for the 6 Day Cycling in November. It's a warm and friendly hotel. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is great - especially the different breads. Super value for money and located close to the railway station. An hour's flight to Brussels from the UK, followed by a comfortable train journey, makes it a perfect destination for a long weekend. We've already booked for next year and will look forward to seeing the renovation they have planned.

Voor ons lang weekend te Gent hadden we twee overnachtingen geboekt. Prima hotel met uitgebreid buffet ontbijt.

The hotel is tucked away just a few minutes east of the train station and makes a great base for daytime excursions into Gent and nearby cities. The staff was lovely and the room was charming.

Zimmer wirklich gut
Mitarbeiter mega freundlich und sprachen Deutsch, was nicht notwendig war.
Frühstück in frische der Produkte und Geschmack wirklich top.
In 10 Minuten fussläufig kommt man an die Straßenbahn Station. Immer wieder gerne!

We hadden een ruime kamer op de benedenverdieping met aparte badkamer. Goed uitgerust en fijne bedden. Een ruime parkeerplaats en het ontbijt was gevarieerd en heerlijk vers. Prijs/kwaliteit is in orde. Al met al een een goede keuze dit hotel voor een bezoek aan Gent.

C'est la deuxième fois que nous y allons et la chambre était sombre et la dernière fois que nous y allons j'ai eu une araignée dans mon essuie pas très propre et il manquait des mouchoirs.par contre petit déjeuner bon et copieux

Hôtel sobre, propre et très calme, à 2 pas de la gare. Accueil très agréable et petit déjeuner copieux à l'offre variée, dans un cadre verdoyant (véranda donnant sur un joli jardin, la température nous ayant dissuadé d'aller dans le jardin lui-même). Il y a même une salle de fitness ! Qu'on n'a pas eu le temps de tester néanmoins. Je recommande cet hôtel.

Neat and small boutique hotel with a few quirks. Room was fine if a little boring for a boutique place. Breakfast is very good and worth taking time over but you do have to book a time slot.

Reception was very professional, friendly and helpful, which immediately gave a fabulous first impression. Room was clean with all necessary facilities.

Convenient location, 5 mins walk to bus / train station.
