The Hotel de Flandre is located in the house where the musician Johann Strauss senior and the writer Chateaubriand briefly stayed. Behind this neoclassical façade, a modern and warm hotel houses 63 rooms and suites. The rooms are large, very comfortable and some of them (the loft rooms on two floors) have the charm of the old exposed beams. The copious breakfast buffet is served in the dining room and in the summer, outside on the patio. Everything is here to spend a pleasant and relaxing moment.

A part ca tout le reste etait parfait! (Petit coucou au chat roux qui ressemble drôlement au mien)

Negatief:
- kamer heeft echt grondige update nodig: toiletbril kapot, raam kon niet helemaal open, kast is houdbaarheidsdatum voorbij
- receptie was erg rommelig, geeft geen goeie eerste indruk
- zeer warm op de kamer (28,4 graden), airco geeft geen koude lucht --> reactie receptionist: er is enkel koude lucht vanaf mei...begrijpe wie kan... .
- ontbijt is ok, maar niet op niveau 4 sterren
