It's a classic, but a must-do if you want to discover the city from a new angle as you float along. With commentary in English, Dutch and French by the captain, the cruise on the Lys skirts the gabled facades of medieval and baroque palaces, the imposing Château des Comtes and the terraces of waterside bars and restaurants. Several companies organize these boat tours. You'll easily spot them along the Graslei and Korenlei or near the Vleeshuisburg bridge. All charge the same prices and follow the same route.
