INDUSTRIEMUSEUM
Imposing textile center dedicated to the cloth industry in Ghent preserving its impressive machines.
The Museum of Industry tells the story of the heritage of a cloth-making tradition, whose reputation went beyond the borders of the Middle Ages. As an important textile center until the 19th century, Ghent had to preserve and promote this heritage. The museum, housed in a former cotton mill, presents the history of textiles, the technological and socio-cultural developments in the sector over 250 years. The machines are impressive! From the glass roofs on the top floor of the building, a splendid view of the city.
