Heritage lane, one of the first covered streets in Ghent
Belgium was the cradle of covered streets in the 19th century, just like Paris. This classified alley owes its name to the glass dome which surmounts it. It was one of the first covered streets in the country. But nowadays, the glass that you notice most is the glass in the windows behind which young naked women show themselves off: you are in the red light district of Ghent. As the street is a listed heritage site, there is no reason not to visit it.
