COLLEGIALE SAINTE-WALBURGE
Gothic church with 14 baroque chapels, one of which is dedicated to Saint Barbara and contains tapestries and a treasure
This Gothic church is the result of the merger of two half-churches! The choir and two side aisles are in the 12th-century Scaldian Gothic (or Tournai Romanesque Gothic) style. In the 16th century, another church was built next door, but it eventually integrated the first into its plans. The upper part dates from the 16th century and features 14 Baroque chapels, one of which is dedicated to Saint Barbara, patron saint of weavers. The tapestries and treasure trove are well worth a look.
