NOTRE-DAME-DE-PAMELE CHURCH
Church in Scaldic Gothic style with a damaged Gothic tomb, with an octagonal tower and a rather rich interior
It was built in the 13th century in Tournai bluestone in the Scaldian Gothic style by Arnulf, Lord of Pamele. Admire the turreted façade, octagonal tower and rich interior. The nave vault and transept date from the 16th century, while the stained glass windows date from the 20th century. At the rear of the church, you can make out the badly damaged Gothic tomb of the Lords of Oudenaarde, one of whom appears to have been decapitated.
