This museum presents the many facets of the climatic and historical evolution of the region, from prehistoric times to the Merovingian period. The current collection includes objects directly from archaeological research in East Flanders. A permanent exhibition with a large number of finds tells the story of the daily life of our ancestors. It is proven that Velzeke was a flourishing settlement during the Roman period.
