CITY HALL AND MUSEUM "DE HOFSTADT" (HOFSTADT)
City Hall, with a neoclassical facade, featuring armor, polychrome wood, paintings and statuary
The town hall (18th century), with its neoclassical façade, houses the tourist office. It was built on the foundations of an earlier town hall, of which two cellars remain, one with Gothic ribs, the other with Romanesque vaults. Housed in these cellars, the small "De Hofstadt" museum displays armor, polychrome wood, coats of arms, paintings and statuary. The collections are well arranged and spaced out, as if they were in the home of a fortunate antique dealer.
