The Grand-Place de Diest is lined with th and th century houses. The two major buildings are the city hall and its neoclassical façade, rebuilt in the th century in neo-Gothic style, and the Gothic-style Church (Sint-Sulpice) of Gothic style (th century). Behind the church, at No. 5 of the Schotelstraat, is the old bed hall.
