OUDE MARKT
Oude Markt on one side of the square, an old city hall, with a noisy atmosphere, with terraces, cafes
"The longest bar in Europe." That's how the locals call this square, not quite authentic but very lively, entirely devoted to the café terraces and where the students of Leuven, who are very numerous, come to drink and exchange news. A noisy atmosphere of a thousand conversations and bicycles passing by, stopping or leaving. One side of the square is the former city hall that opens into Naamsestraat, which was converted into the seat of the university as early as the 15th century. Why not take a break among the premises?
