M MUSEUM LEUVEN
Museum housing a superb collection of religious art, numerous sculptures of the passion, and temporary exhibitions
Opened in September 2009, this museum houses a superb collection of 15th and 16th century religious art, including numerous Passion sculptures. Highlights include monumental studio plasters by Constantin Meunier and drawings by James Ensor. There are also major temporary exhibitions. The exhibition is cross-disciplinary, with rooms featuring paintings that echo each other from the 14th to the 20th century, for example. A collection is devoted to 19th-century bourgeois objects.
