HOEKE'S MILL
The brick mill of Hoeke with one cap mill, a baghouse, a millstone loft and first floor
The brick mill in Hoeke was built in 1840 by order of the miller of the Van Holm period. The revolving cap mill replaced the wooden pivot mill that had been destroyed during an autumn storm in 1836. It was restored and put back into working order in 1987. The mill has a skullcap, an attic at the sack lift, a millstone attic and a ground floor. A small curiosity to observe: look at the weather vane, it's a mermaid! The same one that you can find on several mills in the area.
