TIJL EN NELE
Nestled in a pretty little building in the Maerlanstraat, the Tijl en Nele boutique is a must for anyone who wants to taste the region's specialities. Proudly named after two of the heroes of the Uilenspiegel adventures, the boutique honours the region's producers. You can find sweet and salty treats such as wafers, jams, chocolate of course, but also delicious fruit syrups (perfect as an accompaniment to cheese) or even local beer of course. You will also find books about the city and its region, small souvenirs and postcards. The owners are charming and the atmosphere is very pleasant. And you can also rent bicycles there!

We are gone back to rent bikes for the afternoon. I went just ask for 9 bikes and my friends have been eating in another place. One answered me no problem, in 15 minutes. When we returned, us were coarsely refused because finally it was not possible either.
The Tourist Office assured that it was not the first time that you complained about the reception.
I do not recommend this place. One travelled to the uylenspieghel with an owl garden terrace and the welcome is much nicer.
