BROUWERIJ DE DOLLE BROUWERS
Oerbier, Arabier, Boskeun, Stille Nacht, Dulle Teve, Stout In 1980, the members of a cycling club from Westhoek in Flanders - close to the Belgian coast and the historic town of Ypres (Ieper in Dutch) - decided to buy a brewery that had been in nearby Esen since 1835. The Crazy Trotters ("Dolle Dravers") thus became the Crazy Brewers ("Dolle Brouwers").In the thirty years since then, they have specialised in unfiltered, unpasteurised beers high in alcohol. Look particularly for two seasonal beers, Boskeun (Easter) and Stille Nacht (Christmas).
