POOL OF PEACE
The Pool of Peace presents a documentary that tells the story and features more than just military engineers.
The Pool of Peace is a natural site that was once not so peaceful. On June 7, 1917, British troops detonated 19 underground bombs to dislodge the German enemy. The explosions formed huge craters that are still visible today, the largest of which is the Pool of Peace, with a diameter of 129 m and a depth of 12 m. The documentary Zero Hour (which can be seen at the tourist office) recounts this episode in history, which involved engineers rather than soldiers.
