Modern parish church, of Bruges architecture, with abstract stained glass windows, reflecting a surrealist light inside

In 1956, this imposing, modern parish church was designed by Bruges architect J. Lantsoght, using steel, concrete and glass paving stones. A "cathedral of light" with abstract stained-glass windows reflecting a surrealist light inside. The colossal statue of Notre-Dame des Dunes is the work of the Reverend Sister Brigitte Loire from Chartres, and weighs 2,800 kg. The building's original hull shape bathes the nave in diffused light.

Grande église de style moderne à l'entrée de la ville.
Pas très belle si ce n'est la lumière interieure obtenue grace aux vitraux.
