Since 2013, shrimp fishing on horseback at Oostduinkerke (in the municipality of Coxyde) has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Navigo Museum presents this centuries-old tradition of fishing on the back of a draught horse, which can still be observed on specific dates (calendar on the website). The museum also exhibits a 17-metre sperm whale skeleton and presents the natural resources of the North Sea.
