Housed in a lovely white villa typical of the coastal hinterland, this museum boasts the world's largest collection of works by Paul Delvaux, a master of 20th-century Belgian surrealism. The chronological and thematic layout evokes the painter's life, his sources of inspiration and the development of his surrealist pictorial universe. Paintings, watercolors and Indian ink drawings illustrate his ongoing artistic research, culminating in his famous canvases of naked women, ancient ruins and trains plunging into the night.
