TOWN HALL
City Hall with a late Renaissance/Gothic style facade, and images representing the Counts of Flanders.
It is located on the town's Grand Place. Dating from the 16th century, the Town Hall's late-Gothic Renaissance façade is decorated with images of the Counts of Flanders. The building's interior features a magnificent aldermen's hall and a majestic council chamber with richly ornate fireplaces. Admire the stained glass windows, murals and precious topographical maps, as well as Jan van Imschoot's modern pictorial interpretation of the Battle of the Golden Spurs.
