ACADEMY OF ARTS
A private mansion located in Menin, with a neat neoclassical façade and beautiful interiors.
This mansion, built in 1890, was the residence of the president of the Belgian brewers. The adjoining former brewery was destroyed in favour of more modern buildings, but the hotel now houses the Academy of Fine Arts. The neo-classical facade conceals beautiful interiors, such as the neo-Gothic hall and lounges with Flemish, Renaissance, Byzantine and Arabic influences. Don't miss the Venetian lounge and the glass lounge! The monumental frescoes by Alfred Wallecan are also to be admired. Below, Brewers Park.
