THREE-MASTED MERCATOR
The Mercator is a sailing school ship of the Belgian Navy, preserved in its original state, classified as a local heritage monument.
The first basin of the marina was used as a permanent mooring for the Mercator, a sail training ship of the Belgian Navy between 1932 and 1960. Since then, it no longer sails, but can be visited. It has been preserved in its original state, but brought up to the standards of the new technologies. As soon as you come ashore, you look for it, that's obvious. It is the pride of the city. Its white silhouette invariably fascinates children. We pose for a photo. A monument of the local heritage. That's why he regularly goes to big sailing events.
