NOTRE DAME CHURCH
A gothic style church located in Poperinge, with a rococo style fence, decorated with many musical instruments
This Gothic-style hall-church dates back to the 13th century: it was spared by the bombs dropped relentlessly on the city during the two world wars - a real miracle! Its special feature? Its 70-meter-high tower, built on the model of the churches found on the coast at the time, few of which are still standing. Inside, among the church's treasures, don't miss the chancel (low wooden enclosure separating the nave from the choir). In rococo Baroque style, it is adorned with numerous musical instruments.
