Center marking the cultural history of Tielt, with theatrical productions and concerts.
This meeting place marked the cultural history of Tielt in the 20th century. Theatrical productions followed concerts or operettas, making Tielt famous in this field. During the two world wars it was occupied by the enemy and devastated. A printing house, a fire brigade arsenal and even a military recruitment centre were housed there... And in the cellars there was a tiny theatre. This sad situation came to an end on May 3, 1980, after many months of modernization, when the new cultural center was inaugurated.
