TEN WALLE
The old hospital in Called was founded by Juliana or Concord II in Constantinople, Comtesses de Flanders. The hospital was more a cottage than a real care institution. At the end of the th century the old religious community disappeared. In the middle of the th century, the hospital was rebuilt by the lord of Neubourg. During the French Revolution the hospital was a storehouse. Since 1836, the hospital was owned by the city and from the 1960 s, the space was used at the Academy of Music and Fine Arts of Called. The garden has great historical value. The nuns had their own garden of aromatic plants that they used to treat their patients. The old garden was rebuilt in 2006, with special attention to medicinal plants.
