Widely rated at Gault-Millau, it is one of the addresses of the Croatian gastronomy. Located north of Motovun, in the Mirna River valley, one of the best collection corners for white truffle (around Livade). The founder of the house, Giancarlo Zigante, the largest collection, entered the Guinness Book of Records in 1999 with its biggest truffle ever weighed (1.31 kg)! Since then, he has received guests from all over the world who appreciate a cuisine dedicated to the exceptional gourmet product. Good fortune, the family opened a factory around truffle, which is displayed and sold in all its forms. Whether it is in vacuum, conditioned in small bowls or as a matter added to condiments, perfumed oils, butter, pâté, honey, cheese, cheese, dried pasta and even cakes. Since then, the company has opened a restaurant, a guest house and a website for online sale.

Nous nous sommes arrêtés ce jour par hasard pour déjeuner. Ce fut une excellente expérience gustative accompagnée d’un service impeccable. Entrées succulentes Très bons amuse-bouches, tagliatelles à la truffe parfaits, truite excellente Nous n’avons pas testé le vin mais la cave est impressionnante. Le café est gouteux à souhait En résumé, Zigante est une très bonne adresse(ne vous fiez pas a l’affreuse banderole accrochée au carrefour), certes c’est un peu plus cher que les restaurants de Motovun mais c’est justifié de mon point de vue

Travelled out of the way on our holiday excited to try this place as I was a fan of truffle. Ordered the silver menu and unfortunately, as much as I was really hoping to love it, the flavors were kind of a disappointment. No item really stood out as being delicious, flavorful or memorable from my experience here. The cod fish from the main dish was really salty as well.
