CHEMBRA PEAK
A 2,100 m peak to visit in the morning, with a 3-hour climb to enjoy an extraordinary panorama of mountains and plains
Located 8 km south of Kalpetta, Chembra Peak, 2,100 m, is the highest point in Wayanad. It is necessary to acquire a pass at the Forest Office of Meppady to be able to reach it. Only 200 people per day are admitted to the site. Its ascent takes three hours and allows to enjoy a unique panorama on the mountains and the plains. When the weather is good, you can also see Calicut! The best time to visit is in the morning, and don't forget your sunscreen and waterproof clothes: the weather can change quickly.
