GOLDEN TULIP
Rooms with balcony and sea view in a hotel, good value for money, with a panoramic restaurant in Beit-El-Raas.
Located in Beit-El-Raas along Malawi Road, this hotel is less than 5 km from Stone Town. The manager is Indian (Bony). This hotel is suitable for both business and leisure travellers who are looking for modern luxury, space and reasonable prices in the vicinity of Stone Town. Its strong point: a restaurant with a panoramic view on the5th floor, nicely equipped rooms of international standard, with a balcony and a view of the sea (essential, as the other side overlooks the road), a decoration in oriental moucharabieh.

Their sheets and towels are dingy white, though. Luckily, I took my own towels. Make sure you take wash cloths, if you decide to use their towels. Wash clothes aren't provided (only hand and bath towels are provided, like most foreign countries).
I had a beachside view that was nice to wake up to.
They have a restaurant on site that opens late (until 11 pm). The food was just ok for dinner, but the breakfast was surprisingly amazing. The avocado juice was very delicious (and I don't eat avocados). The restaurant is also beachside. The cheesecake is very tart, really horrible
The pool is facing the beach.
They have a driver on site who is willing to take you out on the town at your request.
