FUKUCHANI RUINS AND GROTTO
A fortified domestic house built in the 16th century by rich merchants or farmers, made of coral bricks.
Fukuchani was a fortified domestic house built in the 16th century by wealthy merchants or farmers, in coral bricks, whose arched doors are still visible. Behind the ruins, a small beach, and not far away a refreshing grotto with turquoise water where you can swim. Another fortified house, that of Mvuleni, dates from the 15th century. It is larger, but just as much in ruins. Parts of the walls are still standing.
