The Abbadia San Giorgio, housed in an ancient 15th-century convent, offers a truly exceptional, sumptuous setting that takes us away from the hassles and banalities of life for a night - or more. What luxury! Refinement in every detail! Some rooms feature four-poster beds, marble columns and whirlpool baths. The buffet breakfast is served in a traditional dining room with a long wooden table: carefully composed with local produce. A memorable experience!

Wat een prachtig pand !! Je treedt een oase van groen en rust binnen. Wat een mooie binnentuin, een charmant klokje dat klingelt in de toren, de mooie ruime statige kamers ..
De gastvrouw is superlief en is steeds bereid om vanalles voor de gasten op te zoeken en te regelen/reserveren.
Het gezonde, rijkelijke ontbijt in de gaanderij rond de binnentuin is een juweeltje ! De dame die het ontbijt klaarmaakt doet dit met heel veel liefde. Zij bakt elke dag enkele overheerlijke taarten en koekjes. Af en toe organiseert Greta een candlelightdiner in de abdij .. heerlijk om te dineren in een prachtige romantische setting !
De lieve poetsvrouw zorgde dagelijks voor verse lekkere koekjes in de kamers alsook dat onze kamers er netjes bij lagen. Ze deed dat met de glimlach. Dankjewel.
De abdij is een mooie uitvalsbasis voor bezoek aan Cinque terra en Portofino. Moneglia is echt een pareltje. Klein, mooi badstadje tss de groene heuvels geflankeerd en de trein vlakbij brengt je overal heen !
Echt de moeite om van hieruit de Ligurische kust te bezoeken.

Absolutely amazing place with great rooms and luxurious breakfast. We spent here a vacation in a vacation (a day without the kids), and it was one of the best hotel experiences we ever had.

Wow & wow! Amazing location and hotel. We were blown away. Such a beautiful hotel with such caring staff. Loved our breakfast each morning in the courtyard. Plus the location is walking distance to everything but not in the thoroughfare. Moneglia is certainly a hidden gem in terms of location. Highly recommend!
