From Ilulissat, the shipping company Disko Line serves a large number of towns and villages on Disko Bay, including : Aasiaat, Attu, Kangaatsiaq, Akunaaq, Ilimanaq, Qasigiannguit, Iginniarfik, Ikerasaarsuk, Ikamiut, Kitsissuarsuit, Niaqornaarsuk, Saqqaq, Qeqertaq, Oqaatsut and Qeqertarsuaq. Although Disko Line organizes package tours in partnership with a number of agencies, it is the only means of transport to travel freely in the bay without using a tour operator. Boats can accommodate from 12 to 60 passengers.
