Lodging in a remote location, with bungalows in the heart of nature, ideal for a family.

A friendly little lodge-guesthouse where Roy will give you a warm welcome before introducing you to your bungalow in the heart of nature. From single to sextuple, there's something for every family. The place is a little out of the way, which gives it its charm; waking up to the sound of howler monkeys is a delight for those who love the rainforest. You can also ask Roy to prepare dinner for you: he cooks local dishes very well, and uses mostly vegetables from the garden. A surprisingly simple and authentic address.

The Nature Resort is an adorable gem attached to the Community Baboon Sanctuary. The people here are absolutely amazing and inspiring. They have essentially restored the Black Howler Monkey population in Belize, but they have an abundance of monkeys at the sanctuary, and anyone who works here will be glad to take you into the forest to see them. Our "hike" (more like a walk, not rough terrain at all) only lasted about an hour but we saw and heard Black Howler Monkeys, a toucan, iguanas, tons of bird species and leaf cutter ants. The Resort itself is so beautiful and nice, with A/C and showers and mini fridges in the rooms. As nice as most hotels, but the money you spend here goes right back into the community and saving the monkeys. Highly recommend visiting if you are in Belize!

My son and I loved our experience staying at the Nature Resort. This is a family run small resort. The owner/host Roy is a lovely person, very kind and modest. It is a family run location with meals, tours and other activities run by the family. Our room itself was very nice. The price was incredibly fair. The grounds were beautiful and one day the howler monkeys were in the big trees right on the resort ground. We went on tours Roy arranged to see the crocodiles at night in a nearby marsh/river. The community baboon center is right next door and we got a guided walk and saw the howler monkeys up close. The dinners at nature resort were especially excellent. Be aware, Nature Resort is in an area without other stores, restaurants or amenities. This is a solid, quality spot for travelers who don't need luxury but love nature.

Sehr liebenswürdige Menschen dort. Sehr gepflegter Garten. Ein absolut ruhiger Ort- nur die Brüllaffen und Vögel hört man.

This is a jungle and nature experience you don’t just get anywhere. Roy and his crew will take care of any l thing you need including transportation to and from the airport and to and from any excursions. Roy will set you up with the best guides. So book all excursions through him.

Take the kids or stay as couples. The nature resort is the ultimate jungle experience!

Did I mention the food was amazing? It is. Breakfast and lunch made just like a family member would!

Stay as long as you can. You won’t be disappointed. The cave tours. The ruins. Or the zip lining was our favorite.

Roy will take care of you!

We went there like everybody for the monkeys. When we asked for the service we were treated like kings. When we found out that the night tour was just a bit further outside the village, the monkey tour was just a touristic (but nice) tourist traps the behavior changed a lot. The place is beautiful, the house were clean despite no hot water and no WiFi reaching our accomodation. Food was alright, definitely not worth the 20 USD per person, as you can have the same down the village for about 12 belizean dollars. I wish the nature resort was more indépendant from the monkey reserve and not trying to sell you as much as possible...
