HÔTEL BRASSERIE LE GRAND CAFÉ
Brasserie in Autun serving simple home-made cuisine and daily specials at reasonable prices.
In Autun, you can't miss Le Grand Café facing the Champ-de-Mars, a welcoming brasserie whose huge light brown awning attracts tourists. The menu of the day is always generous and the most discerning choose the Burgundian gourmet plate with snails cream of époisses and gougère. Foie gras, snails and pieces of Charolais make up the essentials of the menu. The simple, homemade cuisine, served in generous proportions, has won the loyalty of many people, locals and visiting customers. It is best to book at lunchtime, as there are many regulars, and we know that the dishes of the day are prepared by Eric André, an experienced chef who arrived at Patrice Malfondet's Grand Café in 2018. Many wines are offered by the glass, the prices are reasonable with a beautiful presence of the Côte Chalonnaise as well as Crémant or Champagne. Moreover, on the festive plan, note that the Grand Café organizes a theme evening about once a month.
