On a few summer evenings, as night falls, the ancient Roman theater swarms with hundreds of volunteers for a grandiose re-enactment of the historic high points of the Gallo-Roman city of Augustodunum. A festival of special effects, fabulous sets, costumes and pyrotechnics to take you back in time, from the Middle Ages to the Roman Empire. This year, "Les Portes du temps" will be performed for the last time, before a new creation in 2025.

Ça aurait pu être un beau spectacle
De beaux costumes et une joli scène d'action avec la course de chars MAIS tous les ingrédients étaient là et ça ne prend pas. Beaucoup trop de texte et trop récité...à part le druide et des comédiens qui gesticulent, on ne sait pas pourquoi. Quitte à faire faire un playback pourquoi ne pas avoir demandé à des comédiens ( amateurs ou pros) d'enregistrer la bande son. Les déplacements manquent de dynamisme. La mise en scène n' est pas à la hauteur. Le son était souvent inaudible. Je suis désolé mais je me suis ennuyé.

Au top, superbe moment passé, lumières,figurants et écran géant de 50m sont en parfaite harmonie. Un régal, foncez passer un week-end en autunois pour vous mettre à l'heure gallo-romaine et profiter pleinement de ce spectacle vivant.
