In the heart of the old neighbourhood, this former main gate of the walled city of the Middle Ages was inaugurated in April 1389. You can still see the old site of the drawbridge and the passing strings. A watchman went up to monitor the surroundings. Since the sixteenth century, a clock was replaced, which was often called the "Clock Tower." Now classified as a historical monument, the belfry houses the "Beurdin", an automaton ringing the bell every hour by pulling the tongue! It has been there since 1982. It is the work of Georges Kirsch.
