A tasty black pearl, Bresse turkey has been an AOC since 1976 and the only PDO since 1996. Raised on grain and milk in the purest Bresse tradition, Bresse turkey develops a white meat with a savory taste. On the market, it can be found tapered or ready-to-cook, and weighs a minimum of 3 kg. Three specific marks identify its origin: a ring on the left leg with the breeder's name and address, a black "Dinde de Bresse" seal on the chest, and a specific "Dinde de Bresse" label.
