CHÂTEAU DE MONTJEU
Seventeenth century castle surrounded by a wall of more than 10 kilometers, restored after being burned three times
In the heart of a 700-hectare forest estate, embellished with ponds and clearings as well as a garden designed by Le Nôtre, stands the Château de Montjeu, built in the early 17th century. Modified over time, since it has burned three times, but has been restored each time, it is listed as a Historic Monument. The property is surrounded by an enclosing wall for more than 10 kilometres. The building has two wings with square pavilions at the corners.
