SAINT GERMAIN CHURCH
The church features a wooden pietà and painted wood panels from the late century.
A 12th-century church, the church in Buxy is famous for its bells, and especially for one of them, called Germaine, weighing 1,500 kg and listed as a historic monument for its rich decoration. The church's three bells ring the hours and half-hours, as well as the Angelus at 7, 12 and 7pm. Of particular interest are a 17th-century wooden piéta and late 16th-century painted wooden panels depicting the Visitation, the Presentation in the Temple, the Circumcision and Christ among the Doctors.
