CABLE CAR AND MUSEUM
Cable car for a trip to the museum dedicated to the Great War and the Iceman.
This mountain with steep cliffs that dominates the Falzarego pass hides a maze of military galleries, both Italian and Austrian. A terrible war took place there between 1915 and 1918. Faced with the bogging down of the fighting, the command decided to wage trench warfare, and even an underground war. This site can be visited via the eponymous cable car that climbs to the top at 2,835 metres where there is a refuge and a small museum dedicated to the Great War and the Iceman, summer and winter. As a bonus, the natural setting is exceptional.
