An ecotourism site, connected to the Gulf of Mexico by an 8 km long canal at Isla Arena
El Remate is an ecotourism site, but not much visited. This ojo de agua is a very nice swimming spot, whose translucent waters are partly covered with water lilies. It is connected to the Gulf of Mexico by an 8 km long canal built many years ago to facilitate trade in this area. The place is truly magical, the facilities are rustic and include a small resort where you can go zip lining. It is a very welcome stop to refresh and take a break on the road.
